Welcome to Balance Digital Imaging! I am a freelance photographer based in San Diego, CA. My passion for photography began while studying music and shooting promotional images for various bands I was playing in, creating flyers, web pages etc., while earning a Master's in music at San Diego State. Since that time, you have helped me grow into a full service provider of all types of photography, dynamic websites, graphic design for printed materials and more. My involvement with web development and product photography has allowed me to cultivate relationships with some great people in many different industries and walks of life. I look forward to an opportunity to work with you on anything from a simple family portrait session, to wedding photography, to your new business website.
I started out making images on my Olympus 1-megapixel point and shoot before "graduating" to a 1970's Yashica 35mm SLR, and have since started making images on the latest Canon Digital SLR gear. My favorite forms of photography are event photography and landscape, but I also contribute regularly to iStockphoto.com and love to make product photos. Some of my product photos have been published by About.com, Blade Magazine, Knife World, Tactical Knives Magazine, and more. San Diego affords me many unique and scenic places to shoot on location in addition to operating a small studio at home. For larger scale projects, I use some great local talent to help me, including a top notch graphic designer, a web programmer, and associate photographer.
